چکیده

Even though a generally accepted opinion is present about conservative management for type 1 and 2 acromioclavicular dislocation surgical 4 to 6 dislocations, different opinions come under play versus in cases with acute 3 joint dislocation. We came across 20 of AC varied age profile (range 18 50 years, mean 34.4±6.5 years). Patients usually complain pain swelling difficulty moving shoulder joint. The diagnosis can be confirmed by radiographs which shows widening >2-4 mm coracoclavicular distance >5 superior displacement distal clavicle. In our series, we have treated them modified Weaver Dunn technique. Immobilized arm pouch weeks follow up was done assess functional outcome. this study the outcome related complications technique

Modified Weaver-Dunn procedure for acromioclavicular joint dislocations.

The acromioclavicular joint is commonly affected by trauma to the shoulder girdle due to its subcutaneous position. Athletes who participate in contact sports, such as hockey, football, rugby, and soccer, are particularly susceptible to such injuries. These injuries, however, also occur during noncontact sports such as baseball, skiing, and cycling. The majority of acromioclavicular injuries oc...

Kinematic evaluation of the modified Weaver-Dunn acromioclavicular joint reconstruction.

BACKGROUND Few reconstructive methods to treat displaced acromioclavicular separations have been evaluated using kinematic data. HYPOTHESIS The modified Weaver-Dunn reconstruction restores intact acromioclavicular joint motion during passive scapular plane abduction. STUDY DESIGN Controlled laboratory study. METHODS Acromioclavicular joint motion was recorded during passive humeral elevat...

Modified Weaver-Dunn procedure versus the use of a synthetic ligament for acromioclavicular joint reconstruction.

PURPOSE. To compare the subjective outcome of acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) reconstruction using the modified Weaver-Dunn procedure versus the Surgilig synthetic ligament. METHODS. 55 patients aged 19 to 72 (mean, 42) years underwent ACJ reconstruction of Rockwood grade 3 (n=38), grade 4 (n=8), and grade 5 (n=9) using the modified Weaver-Dunn procedure (n=31) or the Surgilig synthetic ligament ...

Modified Weaver-Dunn Procedure Versus The Use of Semitendinosus Autogenous Tendon Graft for Acromioclavicular Joint Reconstruction

BACKGROUND The optimal operative method for acromioclavicular joint reconstruction remains controversial. The modified Weaver-Dunn method is one of the most popular methods. Anatomic reconstruction of coracoclavicular ligaments with autogenous tendon grafts, widely used in treating chronic acromioclavicular joint instability, reportedly diminishes pain, eliminates sequelae, and improves functio...

Treatment of Chronic Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation in a Paraplegic Patient with the Weaver-Dunn Procedure and a Hook-Plate

In case of patients with spinal cord injury and concomitant acromioclavicular (AC) joint-dislocation the treatment is challenging, as in this special patient group the function of the shoulder joint is critical because patients depend on the upper limb for mobilization and wheelchair-locomotion. Therefore the goal of this study was to examine, if the treatment of chronic AC-joint dislocation us...
